I WAS FIRED BECAUSE MY FRONT BUMPER FELL OFF MY RIG WHILE I WAS DRIVING. THE BUMPER DIDN’T CAUSE ANY ACCIDENTS AND IT WAS KNOCKED OUT OF THE ROAD WHEN MY RIG RAN OVER IT. I CALLED HEADQUARTERS AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE A MAINTENANCE ISSUE. MY BOSS SAID IT WAS PREVENTABLE AND I WAS FIRED. ANYONE KNOW IF THIS IS CORRECT? HE ALSO SAID IT WAS GOING ON MY DAC REPORT.

Pre trip well have your bathroom taken care of have everything set for you to drive carry your lunch that saves fuel too.I will drive 55-62 to save fuel Check air in every tire that is going to reduce drag get rid of those bug deflectors on the hood that is additional drag. Accelerate lightly decelerate as little as possible how you drive will determine the fuel you will consume. Get in drive and don’t stop unless you have to. Each time you stop you have to use fuel to restart.DON’t IDLE EVER!

This video brings up some real good points that the old days of the good
samaritan are gone. If some of these kids on the road ever drove a big rig then
they would give alot more respect to these
drivers. When fuel was $4 plus a gallon I think the truckers from the old days would have banded together to protest and bring this country to a stand still with no trucking for 5 days. The banks don’t want to repo trucks any more then they do houses right now.
